Suffocation- Mass Obliteration

One of the best death metal bands out there in my opinion.
The sounds of this EP just screams death metal.
This is how death metal should be played.

At The Gates - Blinded By Fear

Well this is where bands like the black dahlia murder get there sound.
This is the root of it all.
Its not necessarily a bad thing that bands get their sound from this band it just all depends on how well the band can have this influence and throw in their mix with it.
I love At The Gates though and they're a major influence for me and my band as well.
